As part of my exploration of LA and process of uncovering "real" experiences. I visited the UCLA campus for an all day Symposium on Feminism, Race, and Biopolitics.
Pictured here from left to right, Associate Professor of Anthropology and Law, Khiara Bridges and Cinematographer and Professor of Social Documentation, Renee Tajima-Pena.
Rene Tajima-Pena is shown discussing her web documentary "Mas Bebes?", which gave light to the USC medical center's coercive sterilization of Mexican American women in LA county in the 60-70s. It gracefully told the story of how these women now are living life of sterilization against their will.
